Electricity from Water: Revisited

It seems that it is time to change old ways of producing electricity. This is of course just the beginning but everything has begun from the first step. The device contains millions of microscopic channels, and gleans a small amount of electricity from the interaction between flowing water and the surface of each channel. Read more from TRN.

The San Diego Zoo's Panda Cam (Reality TV!)

Leave them alone, this is their private life! Do we want that someone puts a hidden webcam in our home and broadcast it into internet for millions of people? Maybe we have one but we don't know! I was just kidding.
In San Diego Zoo they did this for their famous Pandas. Of course this is not bad and very good for nature lovers. They can see their lovely pandas whenever they want via this webcam. Full story from PC Magazine "site of the week" and the link to the webcam.

Lock On: Modern Air Combat

 PC games:
From the first computer I had, an old Spectrum+, my favourite genre of games was "Flight Simulators".
When I bought a PC, the first thing I was looking for was one of these games. I found F-19 and after that F-117 and then... . Then I upgraded (changed) my computer to a better one and then another flight simulator until I couldn't play anymore, because in the race of upgrading computers I couldn't keep the pace. The last one I played was F-18 Korea. I remember that I had some money and I had to chose between buying an stethoscope and a joystick. Of course it was not hard for me to decide, I chose the joystick! and I destroyed that after a couple of months!
Now I found out about a very good combat flight simulator, maybe the best one. I can't play this of course because I don't have time to learn and play this. Learing just the keys and mastering controls takes a lot of time and practice.
Ok, this simulation is called "Lock on: Modern Air Combat", but it is not out yet and if you want it you have to wait. This preview is from GameSpot.

OLED Displays

What are these OLED displays and how they work?
Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) uses a carbon-based designer molecule that emits light when an electric current passes through it. Piece lots of molecules together and you've got a superthin display of stunning qualityno power-draining backlight required.

Electromagnetic Levitation (Maglev) Technology

This is a little bit old but I didn't know that they did it at last and in China. They are a very hard-working nation. In Sweden, they are very active and mostly good and honest people.
Ok, the technology (Maglev) made the world's most advanced ground-transportation system possible: Floating a couple of centimeters off its guideway, it whisks passengers along at 430 Km per hour on an ultrasmooth and quiet ride.
