OpenSynth NEKO 64

In Iran it is very common to invite someone to wedding ceremonies to play a couple of songs and make people happy with a keyboard. If you can't see the band you think that they are at least 5 people, but they are not. Just a guy behind a keyboard sometimes!
This device is the newest keyboard if you can call it. Of course it is a computer acting as a keyboard called NEKO 64. NEKO 64 is the ultimate performance and studio instrument because it is simply the most advanced, flexible and cost effective product available today. Read full story.

The band called Antimatter is the creation of the former Anathema bassist Duncan Patterson. He has also been helped out by his old bandmate Danny Cavanagh and the former Cradle Of Filth member Les Smith has contributed with his sampling. The music that Antimatter present on their debut album is laid-back melancholic pop / rock with beautiful female vocals done by Michelle Richfield. The melancholy is similar to the Anathema atmosphere but other than that Antimatter is a whole new creation. If you enjoy moody and passionate music with female vocals you should not miss out on this release. The atmosphere is very suggestive and you can almost feel the tender caress of the clouds of heaven while walking through this wonderful soundscape painted by some of the finest musicians of the British Isles. Definitely the strongest debut album of 2002 so far. The best thing about this album is that it gets even better each time you listen to it.
On 23th June came the time to turn the light out. "Lights Out" the title of the new ANTIMATTER CD is essentially darker but also more unified than the previous "Saviour". Instead Duncan Pattersons inimitable feel for melancholic melodies always shines far above all other cliches, already making Anathema one of the most unusual groups today.

Sudden Infant Death

The worst thing may happen to someone is the death of his/her kid, without any special reason. You get up in the morning and your kid is not breathing anymore. I can't imagine that. Researchers have shown that sharing bed with infants increases this risk.
Read one of the latest researches on this problem from Times Online Health News.

Human-Computer Interaction

This is a leap in the science of human-computer intecation. Receiving brain waves and thinks and transforming them into action is a challenging task and of course dream for many scientists. Some good ones and some evil thoughts. From developing artificial limbs and enabling paralyzed people to use their limbs to controling robot soldiers in battle fields from thousands of kilometers by professional scientist or maybe some kids who think that they are just playing a PC game!
Ok, read more from Popular Science. I personally think this Miguel Nicolelis is a genius researcher.

At Last Someone Confessed

I think I have to consider going to one of these tournments, but unfortunately I am noy young anymore for this level of stress and concentration over a game. I still spend a couple of hours playing PC games. Maybe this is an addiction which is very hard to quit.
Read an article from BBC News about PC games competition for a slice of the $600,000 on offer in cash and prizes.

Hormone Replacement Therapy, Good or Not Good?

Use of HRT has been under many investigations and you can see many results, from very good to this new research. When my mother asked me to take the medication, I told her, "yes of course, why not?", but now, it seems that I must call her and tell her, "no way to take those nasty medications, they may cause breast cancer". With these new researches any result may happen. May be next year we hear that in a research they discovered that these amount of vitamins everyone takes is carcinogen and dangerous, who knows.
