WTF? Snowing? Again?

 Weather Forecast:
This morning when I got up, I was surprised. Everywhere was white and it was snowing heavily. Aaah, I thought the spring has started and we will not have this damn snow again (of course I like snow but not everyday for at least 4 months!). Actually we had a very good weather in the last two weeks and I repaired my bike and was going everywhere with it. Today my poor bike was under like 10 cm of snow. I jsut cleaned all rusts from it. I have to do that again!

Dynamic Range & Digital Blending

In nature when doing landscape photography that includes sky, especially early or late in the day, the contrast range encountered often exceeds that which film or imaging chips can handle. It's therefore necessary to find a way to reduce the contrast range to something that the camera can handle so that the highlights don't burn out and the shadow areas don't turn inky black.

Tomorrow is the Day

 No subject:
Tomorrow is Persian new year. But I don't have any sense for celebrating. I am in the departmnet and I have to stay until 6 o'clock like all days and then I and my wife have to go for buying our grocery from different places. Meat from a special place and others from ordinary stores. And then calling like hundreds of people for saying congratulations. This year the number of calls are reduced. My grandma and two respectful ladies whom I used to call died unfortunately last year. I wonder why no one calls us except for my parents. This morning I sent like a hundred emails to friends and relatives, too. I saw emails addresses of three of my friends who died in a car accident too, I haven't deleted them yet. What a loss. Last year I sent emails to them too they were happy living with their families but this year, they are gone.
We tried to prepare the "7-seen table" but no way. We were unsuccessful. The "sabzi" we made is now like trees not green nice vegetables and not like what you see in the picture!
I hope that it wouldn't be like the persian proverb: "Sali ke nekoost az baharash peydast". The casual English translation is: The good year is apparent from the beginning (Spring)!
I hope for a very good year for all Iranians and those who celebrate Eid accross the globe.

Eid e Shoma Mobarak!
