Some Receipts, Anty

If you know swedish language, this is
a good site with some good receipts.

Anty is an intelligent huggy robot that interacts with long-term hospitalised children. Its goal is to entertain those children and help them bear their stay at the hospital.

YALE (Yet Another Learning Environment)

YALE is an environment for machine learning experiments and data mining. Experiments can be made up of a large number of arbitrarily nestable operators and their setup is described by XML files which can easily be created with a graphical user interface.

Blaufuss Online Tutorial

A very good place for learning heart sounds. Lots of pictures and heart sounds and murmurs and ...
It is a pitty we didn't have all these learning materials in good old days when we were students!

Nanoparticles and Tumors

This article is about the production of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) nanoparticles that encapsulate the photosensitizer meso-tetraphenylporpholactol. These nanoparticles are stable and nonphototoxic upon systemic administration. Upon cellular internalization, the photosensitizer is released from the nanoparticle and becomes highly phototoxic. Irradiation with visible light results in cell-specific killing of several cancer cell lines. Importantly, in vivo experiments show complete eradication of cancers in mouse models.

Test Your Skill - Multitasking Test

My roommate gave me this link and I tried it. You should grip the middle rectangle and avoid hiting surrounding ones. If you can do it above 18 seconds you are good. In US, pilots do this around two minutes!
In the first try my score was less tahn one second! After around ten attempts I got 21.312 seconds. Too much simulation games maybe helped!
How long can you do it. Try yourself and write it here if you want.

Link to the game.

Clinical Judgement

While writing an article I found these nice articles about clinical judgement and how to imrove it from Canadian Medical Association Journal. They are interesting and I recommend physicians to take a look at them.
